These wallpapers  have been selected from the portfolio "MARKINGS: Abstractions/Intentions". The images are of walls in small villages in southern China. Made in the winter of 2011 they show a fascinating range of textures and color that have been, for the most part, created by natural weathering and the wear and tear of daily life.
